President Obama’s budget for 2013 shows that his priorities are aligned with the needs of the Hispanic community and the CHC will continue to be ready to work with him.
Chairman Charles A. Gonzalez (TX 20) and Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva (AZ 7), chair of the CHC education task force, sent a letter this week to top federal education officials urging an investigation of whether an Arizona state law violates federal standards by targeting Tucson Unified School District’s successful Mexican-American Studies (MAS) program.

There is no doubt that Ms. Muñoz’s experiences working with Congress and advocacy organizations across the country will prove to be a benefit to the president.
